Brooksie Kramer
Owner & Director
Intermediate Course Instructor
Brooksie holds a bachelor's degree in English and a Master's degree in Education from the University of Virginia. She has taught English in grades 8-12, tutored middle and high school students, and served as a high school teacher-librarian. She has also been featured as Top Teacher by Lynchburg Living Magazine as well as a Top Tech Leader in School Library Journal. Some of her favorite hobbies include reading and journaling, and you can often find her cheering for one of her three fantastic children as they play baseball, dance, and just generally amaze her.
Belinda Keen
Introductory Course Instructor
Belinda graduated from Medaille College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Media Communications. She is an avid writer and reader. Belinda plays an active role in her children's education inside and outside the classroom. She lives in North Carolina with her husband and two children. You can often find her either in the kitchen baking or sprawled out in the living room with her nose in a book.
Devon Kelly
Advanced Course Instructor
Devon graduated with a B.A. in English from Thomas Edison State College, focusing on literature analysis and creative writing. She is a lover of words for their ability to communicate truth. With a passion for critical and creative thinking, she enjoys being around the imaginative curiosity of children. Devon has tutored English students, teaches piano, and enjoys working with homeschooled students through Home2Teach.
Sashi League
Introductory & Intermediate Course Instructor
Sashi was born and raised in Juneau, the capital of Alaska. A former student of Home2Teach, Sashi was homeschooled throughout elementary and high school before working towards her Bachelor of Arts in English through BYU-Idaho in the hopes of becoming an editor and perhaps even publishing her own work someday.
Storytelling and writing, in general, are some of the most important building blocks of her life, and when she is not penning essays, poems, or novels, she spends her time consuming all kinds of other stories from a wide variety of places. Some other infatuations of include Victorian England, classic Hollywood films, and musical theatre.
Janet Beatrice
Intermediate & Creative Course Instructor
Janet holds a Bachelor of Music degree and has earned 27 of the 33 credits needed for a Master of Arts in English with a concentration in writing. She's also a Certified Professional Coach and a licensed Music Together facilitator. She's worked with children and youth in many capacities, including offering infants and preschoolers early childhood music and movement classes and directing children and teens in a traditional mummer's play, complete with (pretend) sword dancing. She's written short stories, newspaper articles, humorous essays, and more. Janet has years of experience virtually tutoring preschoolers to college-aged students in all elements of literacy, including phonics, fluency, punctuation, grammar, sentence structure, paragraph development, essay organization, and thesis formulation.
Jenny Zhang
Intermediate & Creative Course Instructor
Altruistic, creative, and enthusiastic, Jenny immersed herself in all aspects of STEAM - publishing research papers battling climate change and advocating for interstellar peace at CalTech/JPL, writing business proposals for sustainable products and developing deep learning programs for plant disease detection at Harvard University, designing and building multi-story treehouse from scratch, as well as developing top-performing AI models in Radiology at Stanford AIMI Center - before putting her interests in Aerospace engineering and Literature. More than just an avid hiker and a scientific/historical literature nerd, Jenny loves to perform, transpose, and compose all eras of music on her keyboard and guitar, allowing her mind and heart to roam free in the endless tales told by her own music.
Sonia Chan
Introductory & Intermediate Course Instructor
Sonia is a homeschool graduate and is currently taking college courses at Liberty University. She has years of experience in tutoring and working with kids, and she is thrilled to teach here at Home2Teach. She loves to help others succeed in their learning and to encourage them to give their best in everything they do. Sonia also really enjoys playing the piano and guitar, reading, working out, and spending time with family and friends. She lives in Canada with her big family.
Stephanie Nagle
Creative Course Instructor
Stephanie was homeschooled through high school and is a former student of Home2Teach. She graduated with honors from a local university with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in technical writing. She enjoys teaching and tutoring others in virtually any subject she can. Although she appreciates a well-written essay, her favorite kinds of writing are creative writing and poetry, and some of her favorite pastimes are reading, baking, singing, and going for walks.
